Hypnosis to Stop Smoking For Women

Break Free from Smoking Using Hypnosis

I know it is easier said than done to quit smoking. I’m aware that it can take 30+ attempts to successfully quit smoking on your own. As a certified smoking cessation hypnotherapist, I am committed to helping you on your journey to become a non-smoker. You don’t have to go it alone and it doesn’t have to be so difficult to quit smoking.

While many smokers use nicotine replacement therapy products, like patches, gum, or inhalers, to manage the physical withdrawal symptoms associated with cigarette addiction, hypnosis works by breaking the addiction from within the subconscious mind.

Instead of replacing and slowly reducing the amount of addictive chemicals in your system, hypnosis works by releasing the habitual behaviors and thought patterns associated with smoking.

Release Motivators and Triggers

Your unconscious motivations for smoking will be brought to the surface and dealt with. Some of these may include boredom, stress, loneliness, anxiety, or depression.

Unconscious smoking triggers, such as driving, pouring a drink, taking breaks at work, or finishing a meal, will also be explored. By understanding and changing the response to these triggers, you can reduce the desire to smoke.

You’ll also learn new healthy attitudes and behaviors that will enable you to become a non-smoker. No longer will cigarette addiction control your life.

The Path to Freedom Smoking Cessation Program for Women

As a non-smoker of forty one years, I remember how frustrated and disappointed I felt for being unable to break my smoking habit time and time again. I never want any other woman to experience this sense of powerlessness over cigarettes ever again.

This determination led me to develop The Path to Freedom Smoking Cessation Program to empower women to be become non-smokers and start living a healthier and more fulfilling life. Imagine what it will feel like to wake up each day knowing that you are living a smoke free life.

You may find other programs that consist of one session, and that may be effective for some women, but my experience has led me to design an insight oriented smoking cessation program which consists of three sessions.

Programs that only rely on using direct suggestions to help you quit smoking have the risk of wearing off over a period of time and you will find that you are back to smoking. How frustrating that can be.

Insight oriented hypnotherapy sessions enable you to get to the root cause of why you smoke, your triggers and rewires your mind to take on positive behaviors and attitudes that are averse to smoking. Using this approach, long term positive results are possible.

Parts Mediation
Parts mediation involves addressing different aspects or "parts" of yourself that may have conflicting desires or beliefs. In the case of smoking, there might be a part that wants to quit for health reasons and another part that finds comfort in smoking.

The concerns and motivations of both parts will be explored. For example, the part that wants to quit for health reasons might be motivated to reduce the impact of smoking so you can breathe better, while the part that wants to smoke feels that it beneficial to you as it helps to release stress.

Through a mediation process, both parts will come to a mutual agreement about how becoming a non-smoker is beneficial.

This last hypnotic intervention is what sets The Path to Freedom Smoking Cessation program apart from others. No longer will you experience an inner conflict about being a non-smoker. Both parts are in alignment with the belief that living a smoke free life is in your best interest which can result in long term smoking cessation

Investing In Yourself Can Be a Big Decision

I understand that choosing to invest your time and money into a hypnosis smoking cessation program may stretch you out of your comfort zone. So, I’d like to take the time to acknowledge that this is a big step and to address some of the concerns you may be having.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention resulting in an increased ability to accept suggestions. It’s a naturally occurring state of mind we cycle in and out of while awake. Everyone has already experienced hypnosis thousands of times whether they are aware of it or not. Normal, everyday hypnosis occurs when you are driving down the road and lose track of time, or when you are focusing on a book or television program and you don’t even notice something that is going on around you.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes. Hypnosis is safe and you will be in control the whole time. Hypnosis has been approved by the British Medical Association in 1955 and the American Medical Association in 1958. The American Psychological Association approved hypnosis as a science in 1960. In actuality, hypnosis has been safely and effectively used by medical and psychological professionals for over 200 years.

Is hypnosis for smoking cessation effective?

Hypnotherapy over three times more effective than nicotine replacement therapy for smoking cessation
A study compared smoking cessation rates between groups that used hypnotherapy (a 90-minute session), hypnotherapy with nicotine replacement and nicotine replacement only. Analysis of the results showed that the groups using hypnotherapy were over three times more likely than the group using nicotine replacement to abstain after 6 months.

Successful outcomes from hypnotherapy at 6 and 12 months
4 hypnotherapy trials (273) were included in a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials that reported abstinence at 6 or 12 months. Results indicated a positive association of hypnotherapy with successful outcomes.

Hypnosis compares favorably to behavioral counseling
A study of 286 smokers compared the effectiveness of hypnosis versus behavioral counseling when both interventions were combined with nicotine patches. At 6 months, 26% of the participants in the hypnosis group were abstinent compared with 18% of the behavioral group. At 12 months, the abstinence rate was 20% for the hypnosis group compared to 14% for the behavioral group. It was concluded that, for long-term quit rates, hypnosis compares favorably to standard behavioral counseling when used with nicotine patches.
